London/ Cohort’s Log/Day 3
Continuing our field trip to London we were privileged to visit King’s College London and Bayes Business School.
At King’s College London, we were welcomed by Dr. Dimitris Papadimitriou, a new and very promising scholar son of ours’ Professor Stratos Papadimitriou, who gave us valuable information and insights on the brain drain Greece experiences as well as the new trends in academic research in shipping.
At Bayes Business School (ex Cass) our co-patriots that lead the Shipping Section, Prof. Nikos Nomikos, Dr. Nikos C. Papapostolou, and Dr. Ioannis Moutzouris gave us two valuable presentations on ESG and how it affects shipping finance and the role of ETS on energy economics. Their presentations were followed by an extended exchange of views on the issues discussed with our faculty members, and students attended.
Needless to say, we would like to sincerely thank all our colleagues and prominent scholars who excel in London for their warm welcome and views and assure them that we are always willing and ready to reciprocate when at the Posidonia Conference in Piraeus.
