London Trip/ Cohort’s log/ Day 1
It is a very big opportunity for the MSc in Shipping Management, University of Piraeus’ students to be invited to attend the International Maritime Organization sub committee on Human Element, Training and Watchkeeping (HTW).
A lot was learned on the ways IMO Member States discuss and argue on critical shipping issues.
This time, the STCW reforms and amendments were discussed, and the ways enforcement or contradictions were introduced were valuable lessons for everyone.
Experiences were collected and unique insights revealed on IMO’s political thinking and committees technical approaches.
