As part of our Program’s educational initiative titled “Dialogues with the Industry”, students and faculty visited the offices of Maran Tankers Management Inc. During the visit, our students had the opportunity to gain insights into the processes of one of the world’s leading companies.
Mr. Dimitrios Fokas, Training Manager provided an introduction to the Angelicoussis Group, which included a virtual tour onboard one of its vessels. This was followed by a presentation from Mrs. Elena Sardis, HSQE Manager / DPA, who spoke about the role of industry leaders during challenging times, sparking an engaging and fruitful dialogue with the students.
The session concluded with a quick quiz by Mr. Fokas and a discussion between our students and MTM personnel, where they exchanged views on the future of the shipping industry and the students’ potential roles within it.
