We are pleased to announce that our M.Sc. in Shipping Management’ educational program – Dialogue with the Industry – continues with a field visit to Almi Tankers S.A.
During our visit, we had the honor of attending an exceptional and comprehensive presentation by Mr. Michalis Fostiropoulos, who generously shared the journey of how his family and team strategically analyzed the market, made key investment decisions, secured financing and ultimately built a fleet of cutting-edge tankers.
We were deeply impressed not only by Mr. Fostiropoulos’ professionalism and in-depth knowledge but also by his warm hospitality. He dedicated nearly four hours to personally walk us through the company’s philosophy of excellence and its real-world application in achieving business success.
Our visit concluded with an engaging and inspiring dialogue between Mr. Fostiropoulos, our students – postgraduate and undergraduate – and faculty members, focusing on the principles and challenges of building and leading a truly human-centered shipping company.
